2002
On December 14, 2002, the first Juan Valdez Cafe store opened its doors at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, and with it we began to realize the dream of making the work of coffee growers and the quality of Colombian coffee visible.
2005
We began our international expansion with the opening of the first Juan Valdez Cafe store in Washington, D.C.
2007
The company, committed to the development of its employees and to continuing the mission of building the country, establishes a workforce inclusion program and becomes a flagship project in alliance with the Best Buddies Colombia foundation to promote the inclusion of people with cognitive disabilities.
2013
We strive to strengthen our presence at different moments of consumption; thus, the first experiential store was opened in Zone G in Bogotá. The store’s design and Colombian coffee varieties are prepared with new methods to deliver the best coffee experience.
We offer memorable programs for the development of our people, aiming to build skills within our teams and foster a sense of social responsibility among all our collaborators.
2018
Without losing sight of our primary purpose with Colombian coffee growers and premium Colombian coffee, we made changes in our organizational structure and business reinvention, taking new competitors in the market into account.
2020
We are present with 338 stores in Colombia, 132 internationally, and in 32 markets abroad.
2022
On March 31, 2022, as Juan Valdez Turkey, we opened the doors of our first store in Harbiye, Istanbul to coffee lovers.
With our Colombian coffee varieties, we offer the best quality and experience to the world.
