Why is Arabica Coffee consumed?

Arabica coffee is known as the oldest type of coffee, first used at the end of the first millennium and cultivated in the Arabian Peninsula.

Arabica coffee is considered the highest quality coffee bean in the world because it is more balanced and aromatic compared to other coffee beans. With lower acidity than Robusta, Arabica coffee is especially known for appealing to the taste of coffee connoisseurs. It is also preferred because it contains less caffeine than other coffee varieties.

Arabica beans are longer and flatter compared to Robusta beans, and they can be easily distinguished at first glance due to the slight S-shaped line running through them. The Arabica coffee plant resembles a large shrub with dark green oval leaves. Its fruit is oval-shaped and takes about 7–9 months to mature. Arabica coffee beans offer a unique balance between flavor and body.
